A rough-stone draw well with a shingled gable roof, a log windlass with an iron crank, hemp rope and a forged hook, plus a coopered bucket as its own mesh so you can animate it. Game ready for Unreal, Unity and Godot.
A stone draw well for a courtyard, village square, farmyard, mission, fort or frontier settlement, from the 1700s to the 1800s.
A round wall of rough split limestone, 1.5 m across and 0.8 m high, laid in courses on both faces and capped with a domed lime-mortar crown; dark water sits inside just above the ground line, so the well drops onto any terrain without a hole cut in it. Two hewn timber posts are let into the wall, with tie beams mortised through them, pegged raking braces and knee braces under the ridge beam. The gable roof is split wooden shingles in staggered courses on battens over three rafter pairs, with barge boards and a board ridge cap; the ridge stands 2.63 m high. A log windlass with iron end bands turns in iron journals through the posts, worked by an iron crank with a wooden grip. Hemp rope is wound on the drum and ends in an eye splice round a forged hook.
The coopered bucket (eighteen oak staves, a planked floor, three iron hoops and an iron bail) is a separate mesh, so you can hang it on the hook or animate it up and down the well. With both meshes at the origin, the bucket's floor sits at (0, -6.8, 48.6) cm from the well's origin (Blender axes: Z up, front -Y); its bail then rests in the hook.
Two static meshes: DrawWell (31,978 triangles; one 4096 px PBR material with colour, normal and roughness maps) and WellBucket (3,500 triangles; 2048 px maps). Both are at real-world scale with the origin on the floor, and the well has simple box collision. FBX for Unreal and Unity, GLB for Godot, three.js and other glTF importers, with PNG textures.
